The Rical Groups Sales Team can conclude that this years Subcon Show at the Birmingham NEC raised the profile of the manufacturing group significantly, the Group with its headquarters in Smethwick manufactures items as diverse as Fine blanks, Metal Pressings, Die-castings and Sheet Steel Fabrications amongst others was impressed with the level of interest shown in its capabilities during the three day event.
Foot fall we are told was strong for the event which showcases Subcontract Manufacturing Processes and this was evident amongst the UK contingent of Manufacturers, indeed the census of opinion after the show was morale was high and the quality of interest in UK manufactures was exciting.
Rical Groups Die-casting division Avon PDC saw a very welcome interest in its services, Avon PDC whose area of expertise includes Zinc and Aluminium Pressure die-casting up to 4kg, took some very interesting enquiries at the show itself, this despite the high profile overseas competition also present over the three days of the show. Potential customers and one or two existing accounts who came to the show cited changing purchasing strategy, looking more locally for Pressure Die-casting, reasons for this included cost of transportation, quality and the now rising costs of eastern supply.
Avon PDC pride themselves on their now growing ability to work with new and returning customers to assure timely and effective transfer of production, be that with existing or modified tooling to suit Avon PDCs machine range or helping the customer move away from part owned or worst supplier owned tooling which can place a burden on a healthy and competitive Purchase and Sale relationship.
